Okay, so I left off after the city tournament. The team didn't fair as well as we'd hoped, but it was truly a great season. And tomorrow, we celebrate with our end-of-season pizza party. Our team won the fundraiser, selling more discount cards than any other team in the league. For our efforts, we won a $100 gift certificate for a pizza party. Pretty cool, huh.
But I can't forget to share THE best part. Last Sunday was the All-Star tryouts for 9 year olds (and under). Nicholas was one of 30+ who tried out. He had a really good tryout, doing great at the three stations (batting, infield, and outfield). He also opted to pitch to demonstrate that he can (pitching fast balls and a change up). When the dust cleared, he made the All-Star team. WHOHOO! He is very excited, as he should be. They will play 4 tournaments this summer. Three local, one out of town. There's a possibility we may add a 5th since there's a long gap between the last 2 tourneys. You know we'll be there, rooting him on.
WTG, Nicholas!
