Nope, not a new car (though wouldn't that be sweet?). Not a motorcycle (never had one, never want one). Today, we bought a new vacuum. Yeppers! After much comparison shopping, we decided on an Oreck. It's very basic in appearance. Doesn't have all those attachments on this upright. But then, that's one of the pluses of this vacuum. No extra weight to tote around. It's very lightweight and has great suction and is very easy to manuever (almost self-propelled). But you're asking, "What about those attachments? Don't ya need 'em for cleaning all the other stuff around the house? You know, besides the floor?" Well, it comes with a separate canister vac. Lightweight (you can sling it over your shoulder) and it comes with the attachments. Heck, it even can be used as a blower! Whaddaya know! The upright comes with free annual maintenance (sure, I'm sure it's built into the cost but that's why we were okay with paying the higher price than for most vacs that you can pick up at the local grocery superstore).
And since Oreck doesn't do sales, they offer a free gift (would have preferred to offset the price but you don't get everything you want). So, we decided on the Verilux lamp. It's like an Ott light (love my desk Ott), but it's a floor model. But wait...there's more! You can remove the extension piece and it's a desk lamp. But wait...there's more! Remove the "head" and pop it into the clamp and you can attach it directly to the desk or workbench or wherever.
Guess I'll have to got test run the vacuum. Hmmm....did I just say that?
