So goes our first months of AAU basketball. Nicholas is enjoying the experience, as is Mat (the Scorpions' coach). We've won some, we've lost some. Some losses are a result of having a new team who've never played together before (many teams have been together 2, 3, or more seasons). A couple of losses attributed directly to running outta gas (shorthanded at a couple of games due to football or wrestling conflicts). But they are a good group of kids who love the game and are willing to work hard.
Headed out of town for today's first game (11:30), then back home for a second game @ 3 p.m. Wedge in between, a Nutcracker rehearsal and dance company photos, and you have a full day of youthful exuberance. Heck, it keeps me young, right?
