One adventure ends, another begins

Well, we just left the Oregon coast. Said bye-bye to the Pacific (forgot how much I miss seeing it and how much it means "home" to me). Driving through the summit (between Portland and the coast), we encountered snow. On the ground, in the trees. Luckily, it wasn't falling. That would be the wet stuff (rain) that we've been enjoying off-and-on during our mini vacay.

We're all nestled in the van, making our way towards The Dalles for lunch. Spooky's or Burgerville. May come down to a coin toss. In either case, we win since we love both places. Then it's our final leg of the journey until we get home. Samantha wants us to get there "early" so she can go to ballet. They bumped it back 30 minutes so she'll probably make it with time to spare.

And while she's there, part two of Spring Break vacay begins. Papa Bob and Nana Kathy will get into town. They fly into Seattle (should touch down any time now) then drive over to our place. We have the pleasure of their company till Tuesday so more fun is on the horizon. Take in a movie, shopping, golf, board/card games. Anytime we are with them, you can expect to see two very happy kids!
