Happy Easter!

Jumping on to wish everyone a truly Happy Easter. We are a truly blessed family. We have our health, we have a safe and warm home, we have each other. What more would you want? And for the past few days, we've had Mat's parents visiting us. The kids are over-the-moon excited to be able to spend quality time with them. While Mat and I worked on Thursday and half the day on Friday, the four of them got to get in some golf (mini golf and driving range), some great eats (I know that Sonic was one of their stops), and LOTS of games. Board games a-plenty. Sequence, Rummikub, Last Word, Chinese Checkers, etc. All kinds of fun.

We took them to see an Americans' hockey game on Friday. Our Ams started Round 2 of the playoffs with a game in town vs. Kelowna Rockets. They won that game and by scoring 5 goals, our ticket stubs are good for free Burger Ranch burgers (gotta like that!). Sadly, they lost game 2 last night. Oh well, we'll just have to take two from the Rockets on their home ice.

The Bunny visited our home last night and left the kids all kinds of goodies in their baskets. And then Mr. Bunny hid the eggs we'd colored in the yard. Luckily, the kids found all 18 of them (who wants to find Easter eggs weeks after Easter?). Then, Mat and I headed to church where we led the 4 and 5 yr olds. The girls in their pretty Easter dresses and shiny patent leather shoes; the boys in colorful polos or white shirts and vests and ties. They ended up combining the 3 year old room into our 4 year old room so it was a packed house. And the boys far outnumbered the girls (11 to 4) so the room was much noisier than usual.

After church, we headed to one of the local hotels for Sunday brunch. A beautiful ice sculpture bunny overlooked the tables. As for food....take your pick. Roast beef, ham, seafood, pastas, potatoes, salads of all kinds (green, ambrosia, pasta...), and a big dessert table (I snatched up a couple of mini eclairs and slice of cheesecake). It was a very nice and relaxing meal.

Right now, I can hear the sounds of the kids playing Rummikub with their grandparents. Ahhhh! And soon, we'll be cracking into the tie-dyed eggs to create Easter Egg Salad sammies! YUMM!

Lord, thank you for all you have provided for my family and me. We are truly blessed.
