Can We Open the Box?

Several years ago, I found the Santa Box at a Target after-Christmas sale. You know, one of those advent type boxes with 25 little drawers for Santa's elves to leave goodies for good girls and boys before Christmas. I thought it was so cute so I brought it home.

Each day, one of the kids (usually Nicholas) asks "Can we open the box now?". Now, let me just say that our friend, Santa, is no dummy. There HAVE been times when there has only been one "something" in the box. Typically, the day after one child hasn't been quite so big. KWIM? But usually, there are two things in the drawer. A piece of candy or gum. A pin or mini ornament. A Pokemon card or lip gloss. If it doesn't fit, Santa merely removes one or two boxes from a previous day and inserts the item.

I happened to come across these photos from a couple of years back and decided they needed to be scrapped.
