And a big WHOHOO to that! Okay, so for Mat and me, it's not "really" Spring break for another 1.5 days. He and I are still working, but the kids are outta school. Nicholas started a baseball clinic for three days. He and a few of his league buddies are there, working on skills, playing practice games. He said he hit a line drive double today. WTG, Nicholas!
Samantha spent the day at home. After doing some chores, then practicing piano and clarinet, she did some heavy duty reading (she LOVES to read!) and got to watch some TV. She may head to one of her BFF's tomorrow for a sleepover. She said she had a headache all day. As long as it's allergy-related, she can make the sleepover. We just don't want her passing anything icky to her friend.
As for our time off, we narrowed our choices to Seattle or Portland. "Pros" in Seattle's favor include the waterfront, Space Needle, zoo, and PNB. Sadly, PNB (that's Pacific Northwest Ballet) isn't performing until the week after we return home. However, they do have $5 Fridays where you get to see excerpts from their upcoming show and some behind-the-scenes stuff. That would be great, especially for Samantha and me. There's also great eating and shopping (including a great scrapbook store....of course).
Then there's Portland. Our favorite pizza place is enroute (big plus!). Also, one of our favorite shows, "Wicked", is still playing there! We've seen it before and are more than happy to see it again. There's the OMSI, the zoo, and the Clackamas Aquatic Park. Eenie, meenie, miney, moe....

Hope you have a great time on Spring Break! Both places sound great to me.
I hope you can spare a little time out of your busy schedule for us when we get to your part of the U.S.
