Hello from Portland!

Yep, we opted to head to OR. Both locations had great pros, but we didn't know if the pass to Seattle would be clear so decided to drive the Gorge. Now, that being said, we actually encountered snow less than 30 miles from home. It was really cold today and it started to rain a couple of hours before we planned to leave. It became snow as we climbed elevation on the drive outta town. Not much of a rise but enough to turn the rain to snow. And obviously long enough for the white stuff to stick on the ground and cover the area.

But it was rain again in short order. Kept raining into Portland area. But a rainy day on vacation is better than a sunny day in the office. The kids got to swim in the hotel pool tonight and we'll start the real fun tomorrow!
