After a long day at work, the kids helped prepare dinner. When we were at the store this weekend, we happened upon some white corn tortillas. Thought we might try tacos for dinner one night...so that's exactly what we did tonight. Both kids helped pull it off. Samantha did the meat while Nicholas grated the cheese and spun the lettuce (he LOVES using the salad spinner!).
After a quick piano lesson for Nicholas, we took a drive to visit Nana Audrey. She suffered a setback with a two-day hospital stay. Though she was released, she'll be in a life care facility for a while to recover. In the mean time, Mat and I start looking into some assisted living options for her. As much as we know she wants to continue living in her apartment, being alone and on her own isn't a viable option any longer. We don't know just how much "assistance" she'll need, but having someone there when she needs help is a must.
