Woke bright and early this a.m. Okay, perhaps it wasn't all that bright since I woke up much too early. Had a rough night sleeping...or not sleeping, as the case may be. Decided to get outta bed so as not to wake Mat. The boys were already up (which is typically the case when Nicholas and Michal are together), but whispering in low voices (which is atypically the case when Nicholas and Michal are together).
All of our Christmas shopping is done (whew!) so we can "just chill" today. Oh sure, there are a few last minute errands to run. Like to the grocery store. But otherwise, we're good to go.
ABQ got some snow Tuesday night. Coming in from the west. The exact same direction that Jess and Clint were driving in from. They had to contend with a 5-hr detour around an overturned big rig (ick!). They eventually made it through AZ and into NM, staying the night in Gallup. They made it into ABQ, following a snow plow (love them snow plows) and just in time for our family portraits that Nana Kathy had set up for all of us. All decked out in red and black. We were lookin' good. The previews (on the puter screen) were really great. Too great as it cost all of us a few hundred bucks each to purchase all the photos we wanted.
All that's left before Christmas is to have our annual Christmas Eve feast, make the traditional green chile, sausage and egg casserole (for Christmas morning), and head off to bed so that Santa and his team of reindeer can do their thing at the fireplace. No fair peeking....
