Yep, those are the grades that our two kids are officially in...now that the 2009-2010 school year is finished. Yesterday was the last day of school for both kids. They each had a half-day of fun and frolic. In Samantha's case, it was Spring Fling 2010. First period class followed by a day of fun in the sun with classmates. For Nicholas, they had a class party with all kinds of 4th grade goodies to eat. You know...cupcakes, cookies, sodas...a well-balanced meal!
After they both arrived at the house, I took them out for lunch. Tried Red Robin but the line was waaaay too long. Guess other families with kids had the same idea. So, around the corner and over to Nothing But Noodles (another favorite place of ours). It was really nice to be there with the two of them. Sure, we missed having Mat with us. But sometimes, you just need some "mom and kids" time.
