Wednesday, August 4:
It's been a long time since we've seen a ball game at the Coliseum so it was fun to head over on BART so that we could watch the Oakland Athletics play the Kansas City Royals. Though the weather started out cool and overcast, the clouds parted and the sun came out with the first pitch of the game.
And just like last night, our seats were wonderful! We were in the 10th row, just past 3rd base. And when the bull pen players came out to warm up, the pitchers were right in front of us. RIGHT THERE! Great seats (thanks to my sweetie)!
We got to enjoy some great ball park food (loved the BBQ pork sandwich that Samantha and I got!), experience "the wave" on a large scale again (compared to our Americans' Hockey waves), sang the ever-popular "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the 7th inning stretch, and saw an A's win (4-3).
PLAY BALL!
